About Me
With two years of tutoring experience at GCSE and A level, I am committed to delivering engaging and accessible lessons, giving students the tools and confidence to approach tasks and exams. I hope that students won't just improve in their subject but come to love it too! I have developed a thorough understanding of exam syllabuses and how to help students overcome challenges. Many of my students have had significant improvements in their grades as a result.
My tutoring sessions focus on improving students' understanding of key concepts and ideas, building confidence and enhancing their exam technique. Having determined individual students' strengths, weaknesses and preferred learning styles, I tailor my lessons accordingly to allow them to get the most out of them. By reviewing and returning to topics regularly, I ensure students feel well prepared by the time exams come around. I also aim to create an environment where students are comfortable asking questions, tackling unknown concepts, and learning from mistakes.
I am currently studying English Literature and French at the University of Warwick. When I am not tutoring or studying, I enjoy climbing, baking and spending time outdoors. I am also involved in Girlguiding, having been a young leader for two years before going to university. This experience has developed my communication and organisational skills, which I hope to bring to every session.
