About Me
I have had the opportunity to tutor younger students during my time in sixth form, helping them prepare for their GCSE Biology exams. I ran lunchtime sessions where we focused on key topics and practised exam techniques, ensuring they understood the material and felt confident going into their exams. Through these sessions, I developed the ability to explain complex concepts in a way that suits each student's learning style. Additionally, as a student representative at King’s College, I have honed my communication and leadership skills, allowing me to effectively guide and support others in their academic journeys.
I strongly believe in the principle that “practice makes perfect,” and I incorporate this into my tutoring by helping students build a deep understanding of core concepts through a question-based method. I typically start by briefly explaining the topic to establish a foundation, then use targeted questions to reinforce learning and identify areas that may need improvement. Every student learns differently, so I’m always ready to adjust my style to suit their individual needs. Whether it involves more step-by-step guidance or exploring alternative explanations, my goal is to ensure each student feels confident and engaged as they develop their problem-solving skills through practice.
I am currently a Biomedical Engineering student at King’s College London, having achieved A-levels in Mathematics (A*), Further Mathematics (A*), Physics (A*), and Chemistry (A). I have an interest in furthering my studies with a PhD in the future. In my free time, I enjoy swimming and knitting.
